Xerox Leases 40,000 SF for TeleWeb Centre Office in Halifax

STAMFORD, CT-Xerox Corp., reports that it plans to establish a new TeleWeb Center in 40,000 sf of leased space in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The high-tech call center is expected to hire approximately 150 workers initially and up to 600 in the future.

STAMFORD, CT-Copier company Xerox Corp. says it will be opening a new TeleWeb Center facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia next year and will relocate to approximately 40,000 sf of space that is being built now.

Company officials report that Xerox will occupy its high-tech call center space sometime next summer. Scott Armour McCrea, president of the Armour Group, explains that Xerox TeleWeb has signed a lease for approximately 40,000 sf of a 77,000-sf building that will be known as the Xerox Knowledge Centre. That property, 237 Brownlon Ave., is part of a two-building complex to be built that will total approximately 117,000 sf that will cost approximately $11.5 million (US) to build.

Xerox has options to take as much as 80,000 sf at the two building complex, which is part of the Park Place Corporate Campus, McCrea adds. The Armour Group Ltd. is a commercial development firm that owns commercial office, residential and hospitality space in the Canadian Maritimes. Its portfolio totals approximately one million sf of space.
