Wyndham is taking over at the 53-room Kelley House and 124-room Harbor View in Martha's Vineyard. This month, Kelley House and Harbor View begins an expansion project to add 60 and 130 guestrooms, respectively. Wyndham takes over Nov. 1.

Kelley House was built in 1742 as a tavern and is situated on the waterfront in downtown Edgartown. It was renovated in 2000. Harbor View also was recently renovated and boasts expansive views of the harbor and famous Edgartown Lighthouse.

Wyndham also is tasked with branding the premier Sapphire Beach Club resort on St. Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles. Sapphire Beach Club, owned by Caribisch Gastvrijheid Beheer, N.V, is situated on the Dutch side of St. Maarten's and minutes from the French border, which does not require customs and immigration checks. The 180-room resort is along Cupecoy Beach, with magnificent views of the Caribbean or Simpson Bay Lagoon.

"In today's competitive resort market, having a hotel brand that customers can identify with is key," said Fred J. Kleisner, Wyndham chairman and CEO. The club is considered one of the island's premier properties and has been renamed to Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club. "Being the dominant, upscale hotel force in the Caribbean gives Wyndham a competitive edges," Kleisner adds in his prepared statement.
