Kwik Trip Opens Store in Booming Suburb

APPLE VALLEY, MN-The La Crosse, WS-based convenience store chain has more than 300 units in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. It chose this fast growing suburb for a 3,900-sf service station and convenience store.

APPLE VALLEY, MN-Kwik Trip, a La Crosse, WS-based convenience store chain, has opened a new store in Apple Valley. The 3,900-sf store is located at 14941 Florence Trail, has full-service gas pumps as well as self-service pay-at-the-pumps, a car wash and fresh bakery and dairy products as well as other convenience items. Kwik Trip has more than 300 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

Apple Valley is a fast growing suburb southern of the Twin Cities, increasing in population by 40% over the last decade to 48,360. While mainly a bedroom community, the area has seen a surge in commercial development, with $172 million in building permits taken out in 1999 and 2000 for industrial, office, retail, residential and other commercial projects.
