The building along South Santa Fe Drive is by far the largest available, says McClintock, who sold it with fellow Ross broker Mark Wyatt. McClintock says more than 100,000 cars pass the site each day. ''Everybody knows the Desks Inc. building,'' he adds.
The facility consists of a 66,000-sf warehouse with 14 loading docks, 54,000 sf of retail and showroom space as well as 12,000 sf of office space.
Foothills, the area's leading retail and contract lighting fixture provider, is experiencing tremendous growth, McClintock says. It is consolidating five of its warehouses into the new facility. It's scheduled to move into the building by year end.
Desks Inc. is splitting into two division. The retail division will lease back at least 20,000 sf of the building while the commercial division will relocate.
