Ann Chamberlin, an industry pioneer, has joined PREP. PREP has sold more than $240 million worth of commercial property on the Eastside in the last two years.
"Ann adds one of this area's top investment sales brokers to our staff at a time when investors are back in the market looking for commercial real estate to buy," says Bill Pollard who is a partner and co-founder of PREP.
Chamberlin, who spent the last four years in a senior management role at CB Richard Ellis, says she's pleased to be back on the brokerage side of the business.
"The current market conditions present a great opportunity for my re-entry into the investment sales arena," she says. "Today's economic malaise has temporarily put a damper on investment sales in general and on the Seattle market specifically. This short-term lull coincides nicely with PREP's commitment to enhance its investment group and gear up for the return of the market."
Some of PREP's most recent sales include the Sammamish Park Place building, a 200,000 square foot project that sold for $39 million. Other recent sales include Sumner Corporate Park, a 110-acre developable industrial site; Bellevue I-90 One and Two, a 137,000-square-foot campus for $27 million; the Hewlett Packard Building on Bellevue's I-90 corridor for $20 million; Schnitzer Northcreek III, a 310,000 square foot three-building campus for AT&T for $66 million; the 425 Pontius Building in Seattle, Riverview Plaza in Tukwila, and the Department of Ecology Building in Bellevue.
"The key is controlling quality product," Chamberlin says. "The brokers at PREP have worked on leasing significant properties in this market that are investor quality."
Chamberlin was one of the pioneering women in the commercial real estate industry. She began her career in brokerage with CB Richard Ellis (then Coldwell Banker Commercial) in 1979 and spent more than 18 years there as one of the area's top brokers.
