John Hawkins, managing member of the A&W drive-in franchisee, saw opportunity in the area of Dodge City, where A&Ws used to be prevalent.
"The name recognition, the design of the structure, the quality of the food, and A&W's aggressive growth program," were all deciding factors in building the drive-in, Hawkins says.
Hawkins' plans include expanding into other area communities with the A&W's drive-in concept. A&W is the country's first franchise restaurant chain and pioneer of Drive-In restaurants in the late 1950s and early '60s.
