Building Supplier Expands with 44,000-SF Warehouse Buy

SAN ANTONIO-Spec, a 30-store building materials supplier, takes possession of a 44,000-sf warehouse in the northwest submarket. The former beer distribution center became surplus property as a result of a merger.

SAN ANTONIO-A 44,000-sf northwest submarket warehouse is going from beer to building supplies with its purchase by Spec Corp., based in Kansas City, KS.

Halo Distributing Co., the Miller beer distributor in the San Antonio area, gave up the space when it merged with the area’s Coors beer distributor. Joe Carroll and Bob Trevino of the San Antonio office of Grubb & Ellis represented Halo Realty, the seller. Nelson Karaklis of the San Antonio office of Keller-Williams Realty acted for the buyer.
