In a prepared statement, Heartland officials say CrabApple will pay $5.6 million for the initial 177-acre parcel. The complex marks what will be the first phase of construction.
CrabApple and Heartland also have reached an agreement for CrabApple to have the option to purchase the remaining property in phases over the next three years for a total of $17 million.
The Fife City Council already approved the project's preliminary plat late last month. The first phase of development is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
