Plantation, FL-based Trafalgar Square paid $8.6 million, or about $88 per square foot for the two-story, 87%-occupied office buildings in the Fort Lauderdale Commons Center at 5300-5310 NW 33rd Ave.
The buyer retained Aztec Group Inc., a Miami-based real estate investment and merchant-banking firm, to arrange $6.8 million or about 79% of the sale value in mortgage financing through General Electric Capital Corp. Christopher R. Lee, an Aztec managing director, placed the loan on the 17-year-old property.
Broward County property records show Mass Mutual acquired the property in 1990 for $9.4 million.
