The town green encompasses 58,000 square feet, with most of that devoted to green space. The Downtown Duluth, GA area totals 85,000 square feet.
The project is a joint endeavor of Jordan, Jones and Goulding; Sizemore Floyd Architects; and the City of Duluth. Lusk & Associates of Alpharetta was the general contractor.
The development is intended to revitalize the Downtown area, which previously consisted of a small historic commercial district, vacant lots and some dilapidated warehouses. Much of the area had been splintered by highway widening projects.
