Council Eyeing $130,000 in Energy Rebates for CarrAmerica

AUSTIN-Austin City Council is poised to vote on a $130,000 energy rebate for CarrAmerica's 192,451-sf Braker Pointe III and the under-construction 444,870-sf 300 W. Sixth St. in the CBD. The buildings save a combined 714 kilowatts.

AUSTIN-CarrAmerica is in line for $130,000 in rebates from the city of Austin’s energy utility for using energy efficient lighting and air conditioning in two new buildings.

The Austin City Council is to vote this week on authorizing the payments for CarrAmerica’s Braker Pointe III building, 192,451 sf, in north Austin and its 300 W. Sixth St. building, 444,870 sf, in the CBD.
