KLNB Picked to Manage Electronics Boutique Expansion

BALTIMORE-The video game and entertainment retailer has recently signed leases in seven regional shopping centers in the Washington-Baltimore corridor, and it has plans to ultimately open up to 20 locations in region.

BALTIMORE-The Electronics Boutique–a retailer based in West Chester, PA–has picked KLNB to represent the company as it seeks to expand to up to 20 locations in this region. Michael L. Patz, a principal in KLNB’s Towson, MD, office will lead the effort. Thus far, Electronics Boutique has signed leases of 1,400 sf to 2,000 sf at the following locations:

  • Garrison Forest Shopping Center–Owings Mills, MD
  • Middlesex Shopping Center–Essex, MD
  • Putty Hill Plaza–Perry Hall, MD
  • The Shoppes at Dobbin Way–Columbia, MD
  • Severna Park Marketplace–Severna Park, MD
  • Kingstowne Town Center–Springfield, VA
  • Smoketown Plaza–Potomac Mills, VA

Electronics Boutique specializes in the sale of video games and PC entertainment, as well as related accessories and products. The stores offer more than 2,000 titles. Heretofore, Electronics Boutique, which has 600 locations, had typically leased space in malls. The stores in the strip centers will operate under the name EB GameWorld. Patz said that Electronics Boutique already has already penetrated the region’s malls. “This represents the best strategy to increase its presence here,” he said.
