The project being proposed by Cambridge-based Terraces LLC would be located near the Andover-Newton Theological Seminary and the Bowen Elementary School. The developer has been trying to move the proposal, which involves developing 40 units of senior housing, forward for nearly two years now.
The town's planner did not return calls by presstime but reportedly the unresolved issues center around the city's tree-preservation law, the size of the proposed driveways and a number of other engineering issues. The committee is scheduled to meet again within a week. It is unclear whether the issues will be able to be resolved by then.
