Beacon Proposes 30 Multifamily Units

ARDEN HILLS, MN-The rental housing on the southeast corner of Cleveland Avenue and County Road E2 would be leased to Bethel College students, at least in the early years. Senior housing may be the eventual use.

ARDEN HILLS, MN-Beacon Construction has proposed building a 30-unit apartment complex here that would satisfy a need for increased student housing for nearby Bethel College. The Loretto, MN-based company would build the apartments, mostly two-bedroom units with some three-bedroom units, on the southeast corner of Cleveland Avenue and County Road E2.

While Bethel College would initially lease the units to students, the developers would liketo possibly convert the apartments to senior housing in six to 12 years. The 2.5-acre vacant site would need to be rezoned to allow the project. The city’s planning commission is reviewing the plans.
