JV to Acquire National Real Estate Index

SAN FRANCISCO-Global Real Analytics of San Francisco has acquired the 16-year-old National Real Estate Index from CB Richard Ellis as part of a joint venture with Boston-based Property & Portfolio Research.

SAN FRANCISCO-San Francisco-based Global Real Analytics has entered a joint venture with Boston-based Property & Portfolio Research in the acquisition of the National Real Estate Index from CB Richard Ellis. Since its launch in 1985, the index has served as a data source for the commercial real estate industry, providing benchmarks for rent, values and capitalization rates to more than 350 firms and institutions.

The National Real Estate index collects and analyzes commercial real estate trends and demographic changes in more than 50 markets and across 6 property sectors in North America to compile the index.

“When Dan O’Connor and I started NREI nearly 17 years ago, it was the first firm to offer research based on collecting and analyzing real estate information across the country,” says Global Real Analytics Chairman Richard Wollack.
