Other local leases include Giant Food signing a long-term deal for the former Hechinger location on Hungerford Drive in Rockville, MD. In that case, a 53,000-sf property will razed to make way for a 54,000-sf store. Also, MetroMedia Fiber Network has leased the Tysons Corner Hechinger, and Giant Foods also leased the Alexandria Commons store. JBGR, based in Bethesda, MD specializes in leasing, developing, building and managing retail properties across the Mid-Atlantic. It was founded in 1995 as a joint venture between Rosenfeld Realty Company and The JBG Companies. It now holds 18 shopping centers and nine freestanding store sites in its portfolio.
