Edelman Public Relations, a Chicago-based firm, is closing its offices here, reportedly in an effort to reduce costs. The company, which has 14 offices, is also closing its Austin, Texas branch. The office here focused on clients in the financial services and technology industries.
Aztec Technology Partners Inc., which was headquartered in Braintree, MA closed its offices and laid off all of its 535 employees after the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts refused its request to use cash collateral to continue its operations and to pay employees. The company also closed its four subsidiary companies.
