Founded in 1982, the Olive Garden restaurant chain specializes in Italian food. It is owned by Darden Restaurants Inc., which also counts Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones in its family of food establishments. The company operates more than 1,100 restaurants and employs more than 122,000 workers in North America. All Darden Restaurants' food establishments are owned by the company, as it offers no franchise opportunities domestically. Darden's stock last closed at $30.10.
