Barton Malow Promotes Two to Senior Vice President

Construction Design Firm Appoints Porter and Howlett to senior management positions

SOUTHFIELD, MI-Thomas Porter and Lori Howlett have been promoted to senior vice president for Barton Malow Co. of Southfield. Porter has been general counsel for the company since 1997. He is responsible for the company legal department, corporate risk management, contract review, and serves as the compliance officer under the Barton Malow Ethics Policy.

Porter attended John Carroll University in Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan. Porter joined the Dykema Gossett law firm in Detroit in 1985 as an associate attorney, and made partner two years later. He handled business litigation at Dykema until his move to Barton Malow.
