Saturday morning will feature a discussion by David Giulietti, of Giulietti/Associates AIA Architects PC and former AIA Portland president." How to Hire and Work With an Architect" is the title of the session, which will focus on contractual responsibilities, legal issues and fee obligations for architects.

On Friday, Oct. 26, the Architecture Week 2001 Gala Celebration will begin its conclusion by honoring the 2001 Design Award and other AIA award winners. The event will be at the Portland Hilton downtown. Nominees for the 2001 People's Choice Award, will be on display at the Pioneer Place in downtown Portland now through Oct. 26.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the day before Architecture Week begins, Robert Hull and David Miller, principals of the award-winning Miller/Hull Partnership in Seattle, WA, will make a presentation on the firm's work at Portland State University. The lecture is free and starts at 7 p.m. in Room 212 of Shattuck Hall at 1914 S.W. Park Ave. on the PSU campus.
