General Motors Leases 404,000-SF Bolingbrook Facility

BOLINGBROOK, IL-GM finds a location near the I-55 interchange, an important detail to its expansion plans in the Chicagoland area. The automaker plans to use the space for parts distribution as well as for office space.

BOLINGBROOK, IL-General Motors has signed a lease for 404,000 sf of space for a build-to-suit industrial facility at 1355 Remington Rd. in southwest suburban Bolingbrook. GM is expanding its local auto parts distribution division from west suburban Broadview.

Situated on a 23-acre site within Carlow Corporate Center and developed by Northern Builders, the 404,000-sf distribution facility sits adjacent to a full-four way interchange on I-55. Features of the facility will include 5% of office space encompassing 20,475 sf on two stories, 24-foot clear ceiling heights, 32 docks, two drive-in doors and parking for 217 cars. The site was designed with expansion capability.
