Auto Now Spends $2.3 Mil for Larger Site on Dealers' Row

PHOENIX-The vehicle dealership, Auto Now, negotiates a $2.3-million deal for a larger site in its existing neighborhood. The 'dealers' row' site is at the intersection of 20th Street and Bell Road. The buyer will build on a former used car sales lot.

PHOENIX-Auto Now of Phoenix has closed a $2.3-million deal for six acres at the southwest corner of 20th Street and Bell Road in Phoenix. The auto dealer plans to relocate from a smaller site on Bell Road.

A number of car dealerships are positioned along Bell Road, all lining the artery from 20th Street to Black Canyon Freeway, located four miles to the west. Auto Now, technically Halland & Miller LLC, purchased the parcel and sales office from Mel Clayton Auto Center, which had used the land for a used car dealership. Mel Clayton closed the Bell Road site earlier this year, but continues to operate a dealership at 16th Street and Camelback Road. Clayton Troutt LLC was the seller of record in the deal negotiated by Dan Salley of the Phoenix office of Grubb & Ellis Co.
