Construction on Brewery-Block Projects Commencing

PORTLAND, OR-The first tenants should be able to move into Block One of the Gerding/Edlen Development project early next year. Final completion is slated for 2003.

PORTLAND, OR-Redevelopment of the five Blitz Weinhard Brewery blocks is proceeding with completion of construction on the first two blocks, and start of construction on two more scheduled for next year. Completion of the fifth one is expected in 2003.

Mark Edlen, a principal of Gerding/Edlen Development Co., confirmed to GlobeSt.com Thursday, that Block One will open March 2002 with Whole Foods Market occupying 50,000 sf of space and TyCom taking another 80,000 sf. “We’re building out tenant improvements right now,” Edlen says.
