In its first step toward constructing a $60-million business park, MIE Properties breaks ground on the first three of 14 buildings. Completion of this first phase is expected in February 2002. The entire project will eventually provide nearly one million sf of office, flex and research and development space at the Maryland Science and Technology Center in Bowie, Maryland.
The initial phase of the project will result in two one-story buildings for flex use, and a single-story building that will house lakefront offices. All together, there will be nearly 120,000 sf of space available for lease among the three structures. Baltimore-based MIE Properties expects to have no problem attracting companies to the park, which boasts its own interchange at U.S. Route 50 and Maryland’s Route3/301.
