Titan I Launches Ultra-Secure Data Center

MOSES LAKE, WA-Titan I LLC has launched a data center in a former U.S. government missile facility originally designed to withstand a 10-megaton nuclear strike. The company says it is responding to increased demand for tightened security and greater flexibility in the data center market.

MOSES LAKE, WA-People soon will be able to lease space in a former federal missile facility here, which was designed to withstand a 10-megaton nuclear strike.

Titan I LLC says the data center will help fill a niche created largely after the events of Sept. 11 for structures with heightened security. The 24 x 7 facility will provide the necessary components to operate a secure, efficient data center for mission critical applications, including and high-speed connectivity for corporate data processing environments, as well as Internet and e-commerce applications, with built-in redundancies.

“At Titan, our strategy is to offer a collaborative outsourced data center solution that gives our clients the best of both worlds, the flexibility of being able to supply their own equipment and the cost savings of using our world-class facility,” says Rob Savette of TITAN I. “We recognize that very few corporations want to tackle the management and expense of data center infrastructure, but corporations definitely demand control of their equipment and data from an outsourced solution. Titan is the perfect answer to that situation.”
