American Summit Doubles Space at Westwood

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN-The mortgage company will add 20,000 sf to its lease at 8441 Wayzata Blvd. American Summit moved into the entire second floor in July and will take over the third floor in March.

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN-Less than three months after opening its third Twin Cities location, American Summit Mortgage Corp. has doubled the size of its lease at Westwood Lake Office here. American Summit moved into the entire second floor — about 19,805 sf of space — of the 8441 Wayzata Blvd. building in July with plans to grow the national mortgage loan center to 130 employees over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Tom Stella, senior leasing associate with United Properties, a commercial real estate company based in Bloomington, MN.

Stella represented American Summit in the transaction. The terms were not disclosed.

The company is now projecting it will outgrow its current space by the first quarter of 2002, and last week signed a lease for the entire third floor of the building. American Summit will take possession of the additional 20,000 sf in March. The space canaccommodate about 100 more employees. The office complex is located at Interstate 394 and General Mills Boulevard.
