PETsMART, a Phoenix-based pet store specializing in pet foods, supplies and services, will use the distribution facility to services its western states retail stores. The company plans to move in next spring.

The Red Rock Business Center, located at 9175 Moya Boulevard, is located about one quarter mile off U.S. 395 at Red Rock Road. It is a 57-acre industrial development started in 1999.

Phase I, an 87,000-sf manufactured facility, has been leased by Tyco International. Phase II, a 336,000-sf distribution center, was recently leased to Amazon.com. Phase IV of the Center, a 100,000-sf project, is slated to be under construction in late 2002 as a speculative development.

Eric Termansen of Western Retail Advisors represented PETsMART Inc and Paul Perkins of Colliers International represented Panattoni Development Company in negotiating the deal.

Neither firm would comment on the lease rate. Similar spaces in Reno average about $1.05 per sf, monthly.
