"Changes in the automobile industry initially caused us to consider this change," says Terry Kunes, president of Terry's Automotive Group, whose firm is consolidating two miles south on 159th Street. "I have seen the village of Orland Park blossom and become one of the finest communities in the state of Illinois."

That blossoming has included the Orland Square Mall and McCord Luxury Town Homes and Assisted Living sprout up next to the dealership, with plans in the works for another retail center, Main Place.

"Having a location on the north side of Orland Park provides the best accessibility to northerly travel on LaGrange Road and an approximate 20 minute ride to I-55," says Frank Diliberto, senior vice president & regional sales manager at Inland Real Estate Sales, which is conducting the sealed-bid auction Jan. 22. "This is a unique opportunity for buyers to name their price. However, buyers must be prepared to make conforming offers, which lead to timely closings."

Tax records indicate the property, acquired from 1985 through 1995 for $2.63 million, has a market value of $3.66 million according to the Cook County assessor's office. However, the property had a $4.04-million mortgage placed on it.
