Before that, she served as the CEO of the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors. She also was the director of volunteer resources for the Chicago area chapter of the American Red Cross.

''Barbara brings a broad range of experience to the position,'' says Denver Board of Realtors president Kit Cowperthwaite. ''She's experienced in association management, a proven leader who understands the day-to-day needs of working Realtors. That's an impressive combination for this position.''

DMCAR President Tim D'Angelo agrees.

''We reviewed resumes from across the nation,'' says D'Angelo, an industrial broker with Fuller and Co. ''Barbara stood out as an effective communicator and professional through and through. We are excited by her experience.''

Lambert replaces Brad Benson, who is resigning after 14 years with the associations. Benson remains in Denver as a local and national real estate consultant.
