County Board Approves Cal State Fullerton Lease

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-The Orange County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a lease agreement with Cal State Fullerton, which will allow the university to open an El Toro satellite campus.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-County supervisors approved a lease agreement with Cal State Fullerton yesterday, which will allow the university to open a satellite campus at the former El Toro Marine Base.

The agreement, which was unanimously approved, will grant CSFU a 10-year lease at the former Air Wing Headquarters. The university plans to sink $1.5 million in repairs into the 46,000-sf facility, which was built in 1986. A six-month period has been granted to CSFU, so that it can draw up renovation plans. During this time, the university is free to withdraw from the agreement. Rent for the first five years of the lease will be set at $56,000 a month, with a $12,000 monthly credit given for repairs.
