DMK headed up construction on the renovation project for the mall owner, Tarzana-based NewMark Merrill Companies. The remodeling included improvements to the exterior facades, as well as an expansion of the property's previous landscaping design.

"The Anaheim Town Square shopping center was originally built in the 1960s, so we needed to update the overall architectural appeal of the center to provide a more inviting environment for its customers," says Andy Quarress, architect for the project's designer, Leidenfrost/Horowitz & Associates Architects.

The property, which is located on the southeast corner of State College Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim, consists of a 20-acre retail center and several groups of buildings. It is anchored by a 45,100-sf Ralphs Supermarket, an 84,500-sf Big 'K' store and a 17,500-sf Rite Aid pharmacy. Other tenants include KB Toys, Kragen Auto Parts, Pic N Save and Payless Shoe Source.
