With the deal signed for the 18th floor at the 220,500-sf office building, it's time to start screening general contractors for the build-out, which will begin in January 2002. Debra Lehman-Smith of Lehman-Smith McLish in Washington, DC is the law firm's interior designer.
Robert Ikel of CB Richard Ellis' Dallas office negotiated for the tenant. Harwood used its in-house leasing director, Jean Farris, Harwood's leasing director, to seal the contract.
Kirkpatrick & Lockhart is based in Pittsburgh and also has offices in Boston, Harrisburg, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
Kirkpatrick & Lockhart will be joining a tenant roster that includes Centex Corp., IBM Global Services, Perkins & Will, Teknion and McGarr Capital. The structure opened in February 2000 and is positioned at the south entrance to the Dallas North Tollway.
