Other plans for the property include a 500,000-sf hospital, a 450,000-sf medical office building, a 400,000-sf central utility space, a 3-level parking garage and a heliport.

But first up is a 60,000-sf medical office space for about 350 employees. A 300-space parking lot and 10.4-acre landscaping project are also included in the first phase. Phase one completion is set for 2003.

The Antioch Planning Commission will meet this week to review a development plan that includes the entire medical center. Kaiser will also apply for a permit for the first phase, on which it could break ground as soon as next summer.
