The 2,052-square-foot store celebrated its grand-opening last week. Harley's specific lease rate was not immediately available, but the official Harbor Steps Web site shows an asking rate of $23 per sf.
Downtown Harley-Davidson Buell is a family-owned, independent dealership affiliated with Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Downtown Harley spokesman Scott Cook says "the neighborhood's high visitor foot-traffic and its central location were big factors."
Cook adds that as this is just a clothing store, customers hoping to buy a motorcycle at will be quickly referred to its 35,000-square-foot sister store in Tukwila.
