Crescent Breaks Ground on Estimated $56 Mil Park

CHARLOTTE-Grading for the first 200,000-sf building is under way and is expected to be completed in early 2002. The six-building Airport West complex is on Sam Wilson Road near I-85, I-485, the airport and Wilkinson Boulevard.

CHARLOTTE-Crescent Resources of Raleigh, NC has broken ground on Airport West, a planned six-building, 750,000-sf business park on Sam Wilson road near I-85, I-485, the airport and Wilkinson Boulevard. The first 200,000-sf building is expected to be completed in first quarter 2002.

Crescent officials didn’t return a GlobeSt.com phone call for construction cost details. But area construction industry estimators familiar with comparable jobs tell GlobeSt.com the 65-acre project will probably come in at $56 million based on a $75 per-sf hard construction cost.
