DFS Takes New Yorkshire Manufacturing Plant

LONDON-DFS Furniture, Britain's leading upholstery manufacturer and retailer, has taken a 120,000-sf unit at Teesland and Clugston Estates' Redhouse Interchange as a new factory and office complex.

LONDON-DFS Furniture, the UK’s top furniture retailer, has taken a 120,000-sf unit at Teesland and Clugston Estates’ Redhouse Interchange scheme in South Yorkshire. DFS has paid a premium of £5.5 million for a 250-year lease at No. 1 Redhouse Interchange; which was developed speculatively. The building was part funded by the inward investment agency Yorkshire Forward.

DFS also has purchased four acres for future expansion. Redhouse Interchange is one of the largest greenfield sites in the North of England with planning consent and has outline permission for 2 million sf of distribution and warehousing space.
