The announcement comes two months after the project received its first $75 million funding commitment from the Atlanta City Council.

Located in the downtown area near the I-75 and I-85 interchange, the site will become home to a power center of office space, retail space and residential dwellings. AMC Theaters has already signed on to anchor the retail complex.

Atlantic Station will offer six million sf of office, 1.5 million sf of retail, three hotels, and several apartment and townhome structures. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2002.
