The focus of the refurbishment has been a $600,00 retrofitting, which has replaced the multiplex's standard-sized movie seats with tiered, stadium seating. The installation of stadium seats has freed up more space in the movie house, which has allowed other improvements, including the addition of a video arcade and more restrooms.

The retrofitting, which has taken less that three weeks from start to finish, has been completed by Stadium Seating Enterprises, a joint venture between Andrew L. Youngquist Construction Inc. and DMJM + HN.

"Our retrofitting and renovation systems offer theater owners and operators the opportunity to make the most of their movie houses by bringing them into the 21st century and provide a more state-of-the-art, comfortable movie-going experience, says Jim Lefler, president of ALY Construction. "Stadium seating retrofits and other renovations allow these theaters to compete with the newest complexes."
