Whittier Village Cinemas Gets Retrofit

COSTA MESA, CA-The Costa Mesa theater undergoes a $600,000 stadium seating retrofitting, as part of its recently completed renovation. Other improvements include the addition of a video arcade and more restrooms

COSTA MESA, CA-Costa Mesa’s 62-year-old Whittier Village Cinemas has finally stepped into the 21st century, now that the theater’s renovation has been completed.

The focus of the refurbishment has been a $600,00 retrofitting, which has replaced the multiplex’s standard-sized movie seats with tiered, stadium seating. The installation of stadium seats has freed up more space in the movie house, which has allowed other improvements, including the addition of a video arcade and more restrooms.
