For the quarter, total revenues decreased $17.2 million to $13.4 million from $30.6 million in the third quarter of 2000. The decrease is primarily attributable to asset sales completed since June 2000.
Net income available to common stockholders for the three months ended Sept. 30 was $3.8 million or 12 cents per share, as compared to a net loss of $39.1 million for the third quarter of 2000.
The 2000 three-month period was favorably impacted by a net gain on sales of real estate of$832,000. But the 2000 three-month period was hurt by litigation expenses, restructuring costs and plans associated with the company's liquidation.
