Huntington National Bank of Columbus, OH is closing the Albertson's branches in February when Sun Trust Banks Inc. of Atlanta completes its $705 million cash purchase of Huntington. Ninety employees at the 34 grocery branches will lose their jobs. The estimated space at each store is 2,500 sf.

Albertson's officials couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline to learn the asking rent and terms for the space. But area retail brokers familiar with in-store grocery banking leases tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity, Albertson's is "ready to cut a deal" with any qualified bank.
