JJB's first shop is now open--a 15,000-sf unit in the centre of Rotterdam at Beursplein Passage--paving the way for the retailer's plans to open a chain of megastores in prime retail locations across the country during the next two years.
Andrew Bathurst, head of Jones Lang LaSalle's European retailer services team, commented: 'The Rotterdam location provides an ideal platform for the JJB's first expansion into continental Europe. The Dutch are renowned for their love of sport and JJB's format should work well in The Netherlands.'
