The opening has been postponed again, Northwest says, as it continues to review the schedule for the Midfield terminal project to establish an appropriate opening date, says spokeswoman Mary Beth Schubert.

The review was prompted by requirements for additional security and a delay caused by the replacement of electrical contractors, she says.

Northwest will brief government officials and the news media on the results of the project review. An announcement is expected in the coming weeks, Schubert adds.

The terminal is expected to be about 2 million sf, with 1.5 miles of moving walkways and 99 gates.
