Stiles Realty Co. president Thomas Kates said the commitment brings the 100,000 sf building, built last December, to 95% leased. According to Cushman & Wakefield, the average asking rent for the Fort Lauderdale CBD is $27.45 per sf.
The law firm's managing partner David Boies represented the federal government in the Microsoft litigation and was Vice President Albert Gore's lead counsel in the Florida election litigation. Boies is currently one of the lead counsel in the HMO class action litigation pending in federal court in Miami.
Stiles leasing representative Kathy Grandis served as agent for the transaction. Seth Gadinsky of Gadinsky Real Estate Co. served as co-broker for Boies, Schiller & Flexner, LLP.
