"The Hudson River continues to experience tremendous growth, and Edgewater is part of that redevelopment surge thanks largely to its suburban environment that's just a short commute to Manhattan," according to Gary Steinfield, the firm's vice president of development. "Avalon at Edgewater also meets the state growth management plan's intent to encourage development patterns near mass transportation options in urban areas."

The complex consists of two "E"-shaped mid-rise buildings, with two-level parking garages under each building. Amenities include a 7,000-sf community clubhouse, and a multi-level pool will open in time for next summer. Some 168 units, just over 40% of the total, were leased prior to the complex's opening.
