United Properties Beefs Up Leasing Staff

MINNEAPOLIS-Jim Montez and Chris Rohrer will work on leasing Marquette Plaza, the 534,000-sf former Federal Reserve building undergoing major renovation and expansion. Montez helped launch Grubb & Ellis' telecommunications group.

MINNEAPOLIS-United Properties has added two new members to its Downtown team of office brokers: Jim Montez as senior associate and Chris Rohrer as associate. This boosts the Bloomington, MN-based commercial real estate company’s Downtown office team to six full-time brokers, giving the company the largest office brokerage presence in the Central Business District.

Montez and Rohrer will both be working on United’s leasing assignment for Marquette Plaza. The 534,000-sf, 13-story building, located between South 3rd and 4th Streets and Nicollet Mall and Marquette Avenue, is currently undergoing major renovation.

Before joining United Properties, Montez was a senior associate at Grubb & Ellis for four years specializing in office leasing. He was a founding member of Grubb’s telecommunications group and in 2000 was honored with the company’s Star Performance award. He is a director of the Community Housing Corporation ofAmerica, which provides affordable housing to working families throughout the US.
