"The I-90 corridor from Elgin, IL, through Rockford, IL, to Madison, truly operates as an inter-connected region with common economic and community goals," says Robert J. Meuleman, chairman and chief executive officer of AMCORE Financial. "This linear city has experienced some of the highest growth in both Illinois and Wisconsin."

Nearly 73,000 people work and 100,000 people live within five miles will have access to the branch, an area has seen a population increase of 50% and household growth of nearly 20% since 1990. The new branch will have 16 employees.

AMCORE Financial is headquartered in northern Illinois with investment assets under administration of $4.6 billion, banking assets of $4 billion and 64 locations in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa once the new Madison location opens.
