AMCORE Gets Name On 75,000-SF Building

MADISON, WI-The owners of the 75,000-sf building plan to name it after AMCORE, which will open a 7,000-sf branch. Gialamas Co. says the Interstate 90 area is part of a growth corridor stretching into suburban Chicago.

MADISON, WI-AMCORE Financial says it plans to open a 7,000-sf branch near Interstate 90, part of the company’s strategy to expand along the I-90 growth corridor stretching from the Chicago’s northwest suburbs, Rockford, IL to Madison. The four-floor, 75,000 sf building, owned by The Gialamas Co., will be named the AMCORE Bank building and feature financial oriented companies such as brokerage, insurance and law firms.

The new office, located at 8020 Excelsior Drive, is expected to open to customers in January 2002 pending approval from the Office of the Comptroller of theCurrency.

“The I-90 corridor from Elgin, IL, through Rockford, IL, to Madison, truly operates as an inter-connected region with common economic and community goals,” says Robert J. Meuleman, chairman and chief executive officer of AMCORE Financial. “This linear city has experienced some of the highest growth in both Illinois and Wisconsin.”
