Lefferts, vice president of the Real Estate Merchant Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank for the past four years, brings extensive real estate financial management experience to the company. His expertise is being used to direct Basin Street’s financial planning needs and its banking and investor relationships.

"Over the past few years our investor pool has grown substantially. Although investors are certainly more cautious in the current economy, they are still seeking smart investment opportunities, such as those available through our Executive Investor Program,” says Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties. “Because of this program's success and the growth of Basin Street overall, we saw the need for a designated individual to manage the program as well as our entire financial portfolio. Jon's background fits the bill."

Lefferts stepped into his new role on Nov. 13. "I have had the privilege of working with Basin Street for the past four years and have long admired the company for its extensive knowledge of the real estate market, the professionalism of the staff, and its ability to make smart business decisions," says Lefferts. "I am confident in Basin Street's leadership team, and I am looking forward to helping take the company to the next level."

Basin Street is currently the largest developer and manager of properties in Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties. Some of Basin Street’s partners and financiers include Wells Fargo Bank, Union Bank of California, Bank of the West, U.S. Bank and Mechanics Bank.
