City Gets $200,000 For Industrial Park

LOCKHART, TX-The federal money will get the city started on a roadway that will open up a 43-acre industrial park near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and provide access to US Highway 183.

LOCKHART, TX-The city will use a $200,000 federal grant to develop a street that would open up an industrial park jointly owned by the city, Caldwell County and the Lockhart Industrial Foundation. The city and county will also contribute money to the development.

The federal money is a rural business enterprise development grant from the US Department of Agriculture Rural Development Program. Such programs are available in rural areas and incorporated towns or cities with a population less than 50,000.
